Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs)
Eligibility: DBQ clinical interviews are available only to veterans with verified current residence in Massachusetts or Florida.
What is a DBQ and why does the VA use it?
A DBQ is a standardized medical form that lets doctors
describe the severity of a condition in VA‑friendly terms.
The VA relies on DBQs to match your symptoms with the
correct diagnostic code and rating criteria.
The right DBQ speaks the VA’s language and can
speed up your claim.

Who can complete my DBQ?
Any licensed clinician may fill one out, but the VA gives
more weight to specialists who review your full record.
Every DBQ we deliver is authored and signed by a
board‑certified MD or DO who understands VA standards.
Specialist credentials = stronger evidence.

Which DBQs does VetNexusMD complete?
VetNexusMD completes psychiatric DBQs only (PTSD, depression, anxiety, bipolar, and related mental health conditions) through a clinical interview on a secure electronic platform, available to veterans with verified current residence in Massachusetts or Florida. We may also provide records-based nexus opinions for already-diagnosed non-psychiatric secondary conditions such as obstructive sleep apnea, migraine headaches, or IBS, when the records, medical literature, and case-specific evidence support a secondary connection to a primary psychiatric condition such as PTSD, depression, or anxiety. We do not complete DBQs for non-psychiatric conditions.

Will the VA reimburse my DBQ fee?
