Get Started

Our 4-Step Process

1

Submit Your Inquiry

Complete our secure contact form with basic information about your condition and VA claim status. Dr. Lee personally reviews every inquiry to determine if VetNexusMD can assist with your specific situation.

Response time: Within 2 business days

2

Gather Your Records

Comprehensive documentation strengthens your Independent Medical Opinion. We’ll guide you on what to provide.

Document Checklist:

  • DD-214 (Certificate of Release or Discharge)
  • Service Treatment Records (STRs)
  • Personnel Records
  • Post-Service Medical Records (VA and civilian)
  • Previous VA Rating Decisions (if applicable)
  • C&P Exam Reports (if applicable)
  • Buddy Statements or Lay Evidence (optional but helpful)
Note: More complete records enable stronger, more detailed medical opinions. We’ll let you know if additional documentation would benefit your case.

3

Expert Record Review

Dr. Lee conducts a comprehensive review of your documentation, analyzing service history, medical records, and the clinical evidence supporting a nexus between your condition and military service.

For certain claims, a clinical interview via secure telehealth may be recommended to gather additional history.

Important: This is an Independent Medical Opinion (IMO) based on record review. No physician-patient relationship is established, and no diagnosis or treatment is provided.

4

Receive Your Nexus Letter

Elements of a Strong Nexus Letter Case

The strongest Independent Medical Opinions are built on:

  1. Documented in-service event — Records showing the stressor, injury, or condition during military service
  2. Current diagnosis — Medical documentation of your present condition
  3. Medical nexus — Clinical reasoning connecting your current condition to your service

Even if your documentation is incomplete, Dr. Lee can assess your situation and advise on the best path forward.
